Kent Hamilton – Assistant Coach
I grew up in the small hockey town of Bothwell. I joined my first minor hockey team when I was approximately five years old and eventually played two years in Jr for the Blenheim and Dresden, and also played a hand full of games as an AP with the Chatham Jr Maroons.
My coaching career started 8 years ago when I moved to Chatham. I started coaching with the Chatham Cyclones AAA at the minor midget and major bantam levels for 4 seasons while completing my high performance 1 coaching Certificate. After coaching AAA, I spent two years as the Assistant coach with the Blenheim Blades.
You could say my influences for the game has inspired both my daughters, as they both play hockey and my wife as we welcomed a Maroon billet into our home for 6 seasons.
I am excited to be returning as the Assistant Coach for the Jr Maroons for another season. My goal is to assist in ensuring the players skill and compete levels are always at the highest levels, and being sure the players are having fun but staying focused and prepared.
